What is TRADE IT?

TRADE IT Inc. is a new way to trade easily, quickly and securely from anywhere using a broker of your choice. TRADE IT features an order entry ticket that lives on its publisher partners’ sites and that collects and transmits trade orders to brokers through a proprietary execution management system.

It was started in 2014 by financial technology veterans Nathan Richardson, the former head of Yahoo! Finance, and Kapitall founders Serge Kreiker and Gaspard de Dreuzy. TRADE IT Inc. is based in New York City.



How do I initiate TRADE IT?

TRADE IT is available on publisher partners sites, usually wherever a company or ticker symbol appears The TRADE IT trading ticket can be initiated either by clicking on Buy, Sell or Trade buttons or by hovering ticker symbols. Interactions to initiate the TRADE IT ticket may vary from one partner site to another.



How do I fill-in the Trading Ticket?

It takes a few seconds to complete the TRADE IT order entry ticket. First, select the broker you’d like to use to execute your trade and enter your brokerage account login information. Then select the type of order you’d like to place and enter the number of shares you want to trade. Click the TRADE button and you’re done!



Who executes my trades?

TRADE IT connects and transmits your order messages to a brokerage destination of your choice. Your broker executes your trades and provides all brokerage services. TRADE IT is not a registered broker-dealer and does not provide brokerage, clearing or execution services.



What brokers does TRADE IT support?

TRADE IT currently supports most major retail brokers



Why do I need my brokerage login info to use TRADE IT?

TRADE IT needs and uses your brokerage user name, account number and password to establish a secure connection with your broker, then transmits an order message quickly and securely.



Do I need to register to use TRADE IT?

You don't need to create an account to use TRADE IT. At no time does TRADE IT ask you for personal information (such as your name or address) that would be required for a hacker to steal your identity.



Is TRADE IT secure?

TRADE IT uses the same 256-bit encryption and physical security that banks use. Our practices are monitored and verified by VeriSign and TRUSTe. TRADE IT never stores or saves any of your information, and your session is completely closed as soon as your order is sent to your broker.



How can I prevent fraud?

Only use TRADE IT on a partner site. TRADE IT Is currently available at www.thestreet.com. The list of TRADE IT trusted publisher partners is growing and is always available at trade.it.

Who should I contact if TRADE IT displays an error message?

Error messages indicate the nature of the error. If the error is sent from your broker, please contact your broker directly. If you have trouble using TRADE IT, please contact us at anytime at support@trade.it.



Where can I see my order after TRADE IT sends it to my broker?

To see your order details and check your order status, please login to your brokerage account or contact your broker directly for assistance.



What type of securities can I trade through TRADE IT?

With TRADE IT, you can trade all publicly listed equities and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) for which your broker supports execution. TRADE IT will soon let you trade other financial securities including options, currencies and commodities.



What type of orders can I send through TRADE IT?

With TRADE IT, you can submit market, limit, stop limit and stop market orders. You can buy, sell, sell short and buy to cover stocks and funds.



How do I report a phishing and suspicious email?

If you suspect you have received a fraudulent email from TRADE IT, please forward a copy of the unaltered email with full headers to support@trade.it.



How can I integrate the TRADE IT WIDGET on my site?
